If you wish to experience the religious angle of India and are looking forward for a few peaceful encounters with priest and harmony within yourself then there are a few places you can always bank on; India is rich with this culture and heritage itself!
The MVT in brief
The Mayapura Vrindavan Trust (MVT) or Bhaktivedanta Ashram that was established by Srila Prabhupada in 1972 is essentially a fund to safeguard the properties and temple heist of Lord Krishna’s religious destinations in India and especially in the cities of Mumbai, Mayapura and Vrindavan. By maintaining investments and properties for the future emergency funds this trust has been depositing all its dakshina (donations) into the MVT account. One of its very early investments is an apartment building in Los Angeles near the ISKCON temple.
You can visit MVT’s personal Bhaktivedanta ashram to enjoy the spiritual atmosphere there and relish the gated property for its brilliant architecture, exquisite lush gardens with well trimmed and decorated lawns; if you are lucky and manage to stay in the lawns for a while then you can easily spot peacocks, parrots and many other such species around. The guesthouse of MVT is situated behind the Iskcon’s Krishna-Balarama mandir; one of Vrindavan’s most popular temples.
Prasadam Hall
One of the best places to eat in Vrindavan, which opened in 1999 is the MVT’s Prasadam hall; with a facility to seat 80 people and with an AC hall, this vegetarian food place has featured multiple different types of International prasadams too. It is open from the mid of September to the middle of April, tourists are more than welcome to come and rest there.
